Standing with Amanda on her wedding day will be her sister, her cousin, and her best friend.
Elena is the lovely sister of the bride and the Maid of Honor. Though they haven't always been close, they have always been sisters, and over the last several years have become great friends. Elena's dry humor and beautiful voice keep everyone around her entertained. Elena and the bride share a love for cooking, watching marathons of The Tudors, and talking way too loud.
Elena lives and works in New Orleans and has been the eyes and ears of the couple as they have been planning the wedding.
Kate has been the bride's best friend for almost a decade. They went to high school together and became close after a certain storm threw them together. Kate went to Washington University - St. Louis, while the bride went to Southwestern University. Though there were many miles between them, their relationship only grew stronger. Kate now lives and works in New Orleans and is always down to party when Amanda and Matt come to town, not to mention visiting venues and going to see bands.
Stacy is the bride's cousin and has become one of her closest friends. Stacy has been getting the bride in trouble since they were both little girls. Stacy grew up in Austin and went to school in NYC, and then Lake Charles. She and Amanda had many great nights catching up when Amanda would stop in Lake Charles on her treks between Austin and New Orleans. The bride was lucky enough to be a part of Stacy's wedding in 2013, and is excited to have her part of her special day.
Standing with Matt on his wedding day will be his big brother, his oldest friend, and his future brother-in-law
Alan is Matt's Best Man, best friend, and big brother. In college Matt pledged Kappa Upsilon Chi, the Christian Men's fraternity, and was blessed with Alan for a big brother. That day at SU changed Matt's life forever. Since college they have lived together, worked together, and been a major part of each other's lives. Matt shares everything with Alan and their friendship is is one of the best things in his life. He has been there for it all, and will continue to remain a part of all the crazy adventures and lasting memories to come. Basically, he has had Best Man on lock for the past 10+ years
Jonathan is Matt's oldest and tallest friend. They grew up together in Boy Scout Troop 111 in Kerrville, Texas. They learned how to backpack together, how to shoot together, and how to annoy their scoutmasters by staying up all night talking together. After high school Jonathan went off to become a proud Texas Aggie while Matt attended Southwestern. Matt was a groomsman at Jonathan's wedding to his wonderful wife, Heather, and now they have welcomed their first daughter, Norah Quixie. Jonathan and his wife now both work at Camp Eagle in Rocksprings. Matt would feel lost without his best childhood friend with him on his big day.
Julian will be Matt's new Brother-in-Law. When they first met (over seven years ago) they rallied together in making fun of Amanda (and Elena) at family dinners. Now they bond over beer and laughing at Matt's inability to grow any semblance of facial hair. Julian has always treated Matt like family and been a welcome ally in the household battle against the incredibly loud Figueroa sisters. Julian will graduate in May with a degree in Mathematics from Cornell College. Matt is proud to have Julian stand with him on his wedding day.
A House Party is a group of friends (outside of the wedding party) who are asked to assist with different aspects of the wedding celebration. We honor our past and future relationships with these great people who will be our ushers, greeters, and guestbook attendants.
Juliette and Gabriel Prado are some of Matt and Amanda's closest friends and are always up for an adventure. Though Matt, Gabe, and Amanda all went to Southwestern, they became friends after they had all graduated. Juliette and Amanda spend time doing way too many crafts (and drinking way to much coffee), while Gabe and Matt love to play basketball. Gabe and Jules are the best kind of people, and that is exactly who you want to be a part of your wedding celebration.
Rachel is one of Amanda's closest friends and has been since they started high school. She has always been a source of reason and wisdom, not to mention a very good spell checker. While calling Atlanta home for the past 8 years, Rachel has seen success in business and acting. She currently teaches children the beauty of theatre. The bride and groom are honored to have her be a part of their special day.
Ryan has been the bride's friend since they met at a grade school dance over 15 years ago. He spent many late nights studying with Amanda and Rachel in high school at their favorite coffee shop. Somehow he didn't tire of them, even though they spent a lot of time talking instead of studying. Ryan is a world traveler who has spent time in many different countries, though most recently he has been living and working in New Orleans. Though they haven't lived in the same city since high school, Ryan and Amanda always seem to pick up where they left off.
